Hi!
I am a PhD student supervised by Sophia Economou, Luís P. Santos and Ernesto F. Galvão. My current research is in the field of quantum computing, with a focus on studying, implementing, and developing NISQ-friendly variational quantum algorithms. I am particularly interested in adaptive ansätze for quantum chemistry and other applications.
I finished an Integrated Master’s degree in Engineering Physics in 2021, specializing in quantum information and quantum computing. You can find my MSc Thesis, titled Ansätze for Noisy Variational Quantum Eigensolvers, here.
While currently at Virginia Tech, I also belong to the Quantum and Linear-Optical Computation (QLOC) research group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga, Portugal. I am additionally affiliated with the High-Assurance Software Laboratory (HASLab), a R&D centre of the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC).
For more details, I refer to my CV.
